Matthew Chalmers is heard playing drums on most of the chart demos added to this website since 2011, and in addition to also being a talented TV and Film composer, Matthew is a fantastic vocal jazz arranger, and I’m proud to feature this fun Starter Series arrangement, in both SAB and SATB voicings of Tori Kelly’s hit from 2015. This grooving chart features a female soloist, an acappella with vocal percussion break, and a little bit of clever reharmonization to finish your performance with a few surprises, including a “cute” cold ending...”you, oo, oo, oo...” A positive vibe and a nice R&B/pop feel make this a great part of a set for a developing vocal jazz ensemble looking to have some fun and entertain their audience.
