Kim Lomax has an enduring passion for all things voice. Following the completion of her Master of Music degree from the University of Nebraska at Omaha, she spent many years on faculty there, teaching applied voice and directing their vocal jazz ensemble, All in Good Time. She later formed Omaha's first community vocal jazz ensemble, NExus, which performed frequently throughout the community, at festivals and for the NCAA Men's College World Series. Kim also spent several years as a Jazz at Lincoln Center-certified Teaching Artist for WeBop, an early-childhood jazz education curriculum created in partnership with Teachers College at Columbia University before discovering and falling in love with voice acting.
Still Omaha-based, Kim now works full-time as a voice actor and voice over talent for clients like Best Western and Logitech. With a voice age ranging from teen to adult, she can provide voice overs for a wide variety of projects - from animation, TV & radio commercials, and paid placement campaigns for pre-roll and social media to non-broadcast projects like video narration, video games, eLearning, telephony, and more.
When not in her home studio, you can find Kim singing jazz, teaching the occasional voice or piano lesson, playing Carcassonne with her husband or chasing around her 2 rascally, wonderful kids.
