Brad Rees serves as Dean of the School of Creative and Media Arts at Tiffin University in Ohio, where for nearly three decades he has taught vocal music, music theory, music production and engineering, and music business. A leader in contemporary a cappella and vocal jazz education, Brad has taught at the University of Northern Colorado, Iowa’s School for Music Vocations, Bowling Green State University, at workshops and festivals around the world, and has served as guest conductor for district, regional and all-state honors ensembles. His ensembles have appeared with Michael McDonald, Rockapella, The Real Group, New York Voices, Naturally Seven, and many others, and have toured across the United States and in Canada, Taiwan, South Africa, the UK, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, Austria, and the Czech Republic. His published a cappella and vocal jazz arrangements are widely used by vocal ensembles around the world, and his own credits include performing with Ben Folds, Bobby McFerrin’s Voicestra, Joe Williams, George Shearing, and many others. He sang with The Axidentals, with Phil Mattson’s Voices, and in residence at the Smithsonian Institution. Brad has served in leadership positions for the Ohio chapters of IAJE and ACDA, and holds degrees in choral conducting, voice, music education and public relations, and is an alum of Boston University, the University of Northern Colorado, Western Michigan University and George Mason University.
