Frequently Asked Questions > About Kerry > Do you have an album/CD of your music?
Although I haven't recorded an album of my arrangements as a professional project yet (surely such a thing is down the road), many of my arrangements and compositions have been recorded on the four Sacramento State Vocal Jazz CDs, and most of those tracks are actually available for download as the demos to charts on this site.
However, Julia Dollison and I (under the duo name "Dollison and Marsh") recorded an CD on the ArtistShare label called "Vertical Voices: The Music of Maria Schneider," and it's available by following the previous link. It will be released on March 16th, 2010, but is available for pre-order on the ArtistShare site, and your pre-order comes with MANY bonus content items like videos, audio recordings, blog entries, downloads and more, giving you a window into the process of creating the CD. The concept of the project, in a nutshell, was to vocally record five of Schneider's pieces as she wrote them for her jazz orchestra, and it turned out to be a unique and exciting sound. It's entirely wordless, and there's a good amount of fairly adventuresome vocal improv included. The rhythm section is actually the same as that of Maria's own band: Ben Monder (guitar), Frank Kimbrough (piano), Jay Anderson (bass) and Clarence Penn (drums). You can get it for as cheap as $12.95 for just the downloaded version, and you still get a lot of extras! Go check it out!
